Thermaltake has updated their Toughpower series of power supplies to include three new models (1,000W, 1,200W, and 1,500W). These units are compatible with ATX12V v2.3 and EPS12V v2.92 standards, have modular cabling system, 80 Plus Silver certification, an active PFC circuit, two (1,000W and 1,200W models) or four (1,500 W model) +12 V rails, a DC-DC converter design on the secondary, Japanese caps, a 135 mm fan, and protections against over voltage (OVP), under voltage (UVP), over current (OCP), over power (OPP), short-circuit (SCP), and over temperature (OTP). Thermaltake did not provide information on pricing or availability.

BiFenix has just launched their latest mid-tower case, the Outlaw. The product is painted in black (including the interior) and supports mini-ITX, microATX, and ATX motherboards. It features four 5.25” external bays, four 3.5” internal bays, one 2.5” internal bay, seven slots for expansion cards, four USB 2.0 ports, and holes through which to pass liquid cooling tubes. For cooling, the Outlaw is equipped with one 120 mm fan on the rear panel, but it supports seven optional fans. Corsair has expanded their Force Series 3 and Force Series GT series of SSD drives to include a 90 GB model with SATA-600 interface. This drive comes in a 2.5-inch form factor and features MLC memory chips and a SandForce SF-2200 controller. Speeds vary according to the series: 550 MB/s (read) and 500 MB/s (write) for the Force Series 3 model, and 555 MB/s (read) and 505 MB/s (write) for the Force Series GT model. AMD has launched their first triple-core APU, the A6-3500. APUs (Accelerated Processing Units) are AMD’s CPUs with an integrated video controller. The A6-3500 is clocked at 2.1 GHz (2.4 GHz in Turbo Mode) and features a DirectX11 graphics engine, the Radeon HD 6530D, running at 443 MHz. AMD's A6-3500 triple-core APU also has 3 MB of L2 cache (1 MB per core), an integrated dual-channel DDR3-1866 memory controller, and TDP of 65 W. This chip is now available for a suggested retail price of USD 95.
