Club 3D has just unveiled the GeForce GTX 560Ti Green Edition, a video card that, according to the manufacturer, is up to 10 percent more power efficient than the standard reference card.

The GeForce GTX 560Ti Green Edition works internally at 822 MHz, has 1 GB of GDDR5 memory accessed at 4,008 MHz through a 256-bit interface, and two DVI and one mini-HDMI video outputs. This card should become available later this month.

Thermaltake Updates Their Toughpower XT PSU Series

Thermaltake has updated their Toughpower XT series of power supplies to include three new models (1,275 W, 1,375 W and 1,475 W). These units are compatible with ATX12V v2.3 and EPS12V v2.92 standards, have a modular cabling system, 80 Plus Gold (1,375 W and 1,475 W models) or 80 Plus Platinum (1,275 W model) certification, an active PFC circuit, two +12 V rails, a DC-DC converter design on the secondary, Japanese and solid capacitors, a 140 mm dual-ball bearing fan, and protections against over voltage (OVP), under voltage (UVP), over current (OCP), over power (OPP), and short-circuit (SCP). Thermaltake did not provide information on pricing.

Corsair Announces Availability of the Carbide Series 400R Case

Today, Corsair announced worldwide retail availability of the Carbide Series 400R mid-tower case. This product comes to the market costing USD 99.

The Carbide Series 400R (click here to read our review about this case) has features such as eight expansion slots not usually found on mid-tower cases. It is painted in black (including the interior), supports microATX and ATX motherboards, features four 5.25” external bays, six 3.5”/2.5” internal bays, two USB 3.0 ports, and three 120 mm fans, two installed in the front panel and one at the rear panel.

AMD Launches A4-3400 and A4-3300 APUs

AMD’s APUs (Accelerated Processing Units) family has just gained two new members: the A4-3400 and the A4-3300. Both feature two cores, 1 MB of L2 cache, a DDR3-1600 memory controller, a DirectX 11 GPU (Radeon HD 6410D), TDP of 65 W, and are compatible with the FM1 socket.

With a suggested retail price of USD 75, the AMD A4-3400 operates at 2.7 GHz with its GPU running at 600 MHz. The A4-3300, on the other hand, operates at 2.5 GHz with its GPU running at 444 MHz, and is priced at USD 70.

Biostar has unveiled the TZ68K+, its newest socket 1155 motherboard based on the Intel Z68 chipset. The TZ68K+ is an ATX board that supports LucidLogix Virtu technology, which makes the computer switch between a discrete video card and the CPU integrated graphics, depending on the task you are doing. It features four DDR3-2200 memory sockets, two PCI Express x16 slots, one PCI Express x1 slot, two PCI slots, two SATA-600 ports, four SATA-300 ports, 6-channel audio (Realtek ALC892), Gigabit Ethernet (Realtek RTL8111E), two USB 2.0 ports, two USB 3.0 ports, and VGA, DVI, and HDMI video outputs.

Biostar didn’t reveal the motherboard’s price.

Seagate Launches 4 TB External Hard Drive

Seagate has expanded their GoFlex Desk family of external hard drives with the launch of a 4 TB model. This drive features USB 3.0 interface and comes with automatic and continuous backup software. It has a suggested price of USD 249.99.

A 4 TB GoFlex Desk model for Mac computers with FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 interfaces will be available by the end of this month.

Hitachi Unveils Hard Drives with 1 TB per Platter

Hitachi has announced their first 3.5-inch hard drives featuring 1 TB of storage capacity per disk (platter). It means that from now on, we will have on the market high-capacity hard drives with fewer platters and heads. With fewer components, hard drives’ prices tend to drop (at least we hope so).

The first products to utilize 1 TB platters will be launched within Hitachi’s Deskstar and CinemaStar series, with capacities ranging from 250 GB to 1 TB. All models will have SATA-600 interface and 32 MB of buffer.

HighPoint Launches Dual-Port USB 3.0 Expansion Card

HighPoint has launched an expansion card for those users interested in expanding the number of USB 3.0 ports provided by their motherboards. The RocketU 1022A is a PCI Express 2.0 x1 expansion card that offers two additional USB 3.0 ports. Each port delivers a maximum transfer rate of 5 Gbps, for a combined bandwidth up to 10 Gbps.

If the two USB 3.0 ports provided by the RocketU 1022A are not enough for you, HighPoint offers another model, dubbed RocketU 1144A, that comes with four USB 3.0 ports.

Thermaltake Announces LifeCool Notebook Cooler

Thermaltake has introduced a new notebook cooler, the LifeCool. OCZ Releases RevoDrive Hybrid Storage Solution

OCZ has officially released the RevoDrive Hybrid, a hybrid SSD/hard drive solution. It is a PCI Express x4 card that comes with a 240 GB SSD drive to cache the most frequently accessed data on a 1 TB 2.5” hard disk drive. The SSD part of the device is managed by four SandForce SF-2200 controllers using a RAID 0 configuration and MLC chips. According to OCZ, this solution can deliver a maximum read transfer rate of 575 MB/s and a maximum write transfer rate of 500 MB/s. The OCZ RevoDrive Hybrid 1 TB has a suggested price of USD 499.99.

MSI has released another socket FM1 motherboard for AMD’s APUs, but this time it is a model based on the AMD A55 chipset. The A55M-P35 features one PCI Express 2.0 x16 slot, two PCI Express 2.0 x1 slots, one PCI standard slot, two DDR3 memory sockets, six SATA-300 ports, one Gigabit Ethernet port, 7.1 channel audio, and VGA and DVI video outputs. Scythe Announces Ninja 3 Silent Version CPU Cooler

Scythe has just introduced a special version of their Ninja 3 CPU cooler. Dubbed Ninja 3 Silent Version (SCNJ-3000-SV), the new model produces a lower noise level compared to the original version of the Ninja 3 (10.7 dBA vs. 37 dBA).

The Ninja 3 Silent Version is compatible with Intel (sockets 775, 1156, 1366) and AMD (sockets 754, 939, 940, AM2, AM2+, AM3, FM1) processors, has a nickel-plated copper base, eight copper heatpipes, and a 120 mm fan that spins at 800 rpm. It will be available on the market this week priced at € 37.90.

Corsair Launches 180 GB and 240 GB Force Series GT SSDs

Corsair has expanded their Force Series GT family of SSD drives to include the 180 GB and 240 GB models, that join the 60 GB and 120 GB Force Series GT models already on the market.

These new drives come in a 2.5-inch form factor and feature a SATA-600 interface, MLC memory chips, a SandForce SF-2280 controller, and provide maximum read and write speeds of up to 555 MB/s and 525 MB/s, respectively.

The 180 GB and 240 GB Force Series GT drives cost USD 379 and USD 489, respectively.

The PC-90, also known as “The Hammer,” is the latest full-tower computer case from Lian Li. It supports HPTX, E-ATX, XL-ATX, ATX, microATX, and mini-ITX motherboards, and is available in black or silver. The PC-90 features two 5.25” external bays, six 3.5”/2.5” internal bays (located vertically on two trays inside the left side panel), 10 slots for expansion cards, two 140 mm fans on the front panel and a 120 mm fan on the rear panel.

The case also has two USB 3.0 ports, one eSATA port, and tool-less mechanisms for hard drive and expansion card installation. It supports video cards up to 15.74” (400 mm) long.

Razer has launched a powerful gaming laptop that will definitely please gamers and enthusiasts. The Blade features an aluminum case; measures 0.88 inches thin (22.35 mm), which is less than half that of current gaming laptops; and weighs 6.97 lbs (3 kg). It comes with an LED backlit 17.3” (1920x1080) display, a Core i7 2640M (2.8 GHz) processor, 8 GB of DDR3-1333 memory, an NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M discrete video card (2 GB of dedicated GDDR5 memory), a 320 GB (7,200 rpm) hard drive, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, a Gigabit Ethernet port, an HD webcam, one USB 3.0 port, an HDMI output and an integrated 60Wh battery.

Adjacent to the keyboard there is an area called Switchblade User Interface, which is comprised of 10 dynamic adaptive tactile keys for easier access of game commands, and an LCD screen that can show game information.
