Antec has officially announced the One, the latest addition to their Gaming Series of computer cases. The One supports ATX, microATX, and Mini-ITX motherboards, features three 5.25” bays, five 3.5” bays, two 2.5” bays, seven slots for expansion cards, one 120 mm fan on the top panel, one 120 mm fan on the rear panel, and two USB 3.0 ports. Kinect for Windows PCs is now available. The suggested retail price is USD 249, but it will also be available for USD 149 for qualified educational users by the end of this year. Microsoft also released version 1.0 of Kinect for Windows SDK, enabling software developers to start working on applications. Kinect is Microsoft’s gesture recognition device originally developed for the Xbox 360 console.

AMD has just launched a cheaper version of their Radeon HD 7970 video card, the HD 7950. The new Radeon HD 7950 works internally at 800 MHz, has 3 GB of GDDR5 memory accessed at 5 GHz through a 384-bit interface, and comes with one DVI-D, one HDMI, and two mini DisplayPort video outputs. This video card also includes two BIOS chips and a dual-slot cooler, which uses vapor chamber technology. The Radeon HD 7950 has a recommended price of USD 450.
