Antec has just increased its TruePower Quattro series of power supplies with the launch of a 1,200 W (TPQ-1200) model. This new unit has modular cabling system, 80Plus Silver certification (85%+ efficiency), active PFC, six +12 rails, an 80-mm fan with speed controlled via PWM, gold plated connectors and OVP (Over Voltage Protection), UVP (Under Current Protection), SCP (Short Circuit Protection), and OCP (Over Current Protection) protections. This PSU has a recommended price of USD 299.99.

AMD/ATI launched today Radeon HD 5970 video card. Featuring two 40-nm GPUs running at 725 MHz, this new video card has 2 GB GDDR5 accessed at 4 GHz QDR (1 GHz real) thru two 256-bit interfaces (512-bit), 3,200 processors (1,600 per GPU), two DVI and one mini DisplayPort outputs, a maximum TDP of 284 W and supports DirectX 11, CrossFireX and ATI Eyefinity technologies. Below you can see a list of the manufacturers who already launched models based on this new AMD/ATI video card.

NZXT Unleashes Tempest EVO Mid-Tower Case

NZXT has just announced its newest mid-tower case targeted to gamers, Tempest EVO. Built-up in steel and all-black painted, this case has three 5 ¼” external bays (or up to six if you remove the hard disk drive cage), one 3 ½” external bay, eight 3 ½” internal bays for hard disk drives, seven slots for expansion cards, two USB ports, one eSATA port, watercooling support, acrylic-side panel and holes on the motherboard tray to route cables. As for cooling, Tempest EVO comes with six fans: two of 120-mm one the front panel (blue LED), one of 120-mm no the rear panel, one of 120-mm on the side panel (blue LED) and two of 140-mm on the top panel. This case is priced at USD 99.

nVidia Launches GeForce GT 240

nVidia has just launched one more 40-nm desktop GPU, GeForce GT 240. This new chip works internally at 550 MHz, accesses its 1 GB or 512 MB at 1,700 MHz GDDR5 (3.6 GHz QDR), 1,000 MHz GDDR3 (2 GHz DDR) or 900 MHz DDR3 (1.8 GHz DDR) thru a 128-bit interface, has 96 processors running at 1,340 MHz and supports DirectX 10.1 and OpenGL 3.2 programming models. Below you can see a list of the manufacturers who already unveiled models based on this new nVidia GPU.

Arctic Cooling has just announced the launch of the VGA Cooler celero TWIN TURBO PRO, an updated version of the cooler Accelero TWIN TURBO from the same manufacturer. Accelero TWIN TURBO PRO cooler is compatible with nVidia and ATI video cards, features two 92-mm fans (instead of 80-mm models like Accelero TWIN TURBO cooler) with speed controlled by the video card via PWM (1,000 rpm to 2,000 rpm), it measures 8.38” x 5.94” x 1.92” or 21.3 cm x 15.1 cm x 4.9 cm (L x W x A), weighs 0.98 lb (446 g), has four cooper heatpipes, 35 aluminum fins and comes with pre-applied thermal grease. This new cooler from Arctic Cooling will reach the market next month costing USD 49.90. Below you can see a list of the video cards supported by this new cooler.

PowerColor Announces PLAY! HD5770 Video Card

PowerColor has announced the launch of PLAY! HD5770 video card featuring a cooler from Arctic Cooling (copper base and two 92-mm fans) and Radeon HD 5770 GPU. This card uses Radeon HD 5770 standard clocks i.e., internal clock of 850 MHz, 1 GB GDDR5 accessed at 4.8 GHz QDR (1,200 MHz real) thru a 128-bit interface, has 800 processors and DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort connectors. According to PowerColor this video card will reach the market by the end of this month costing USD 159.

Corsair Announces Survivor GT USB Flash Memories

Noctua has just announced an updated version of their NH-U9B CPU cooler, called NH-U9B SE2. This new cooler comes with two 92-mm fan with speed of 1,600 rpm (the original version has only one fan), has cooper base, four heatpipes and supports Intel (sockets 1366, 1156 and 775) and AMD (sockets AM2, AM2+ and AM3) processors.
