These disks have SATA-300 interface, spin at 5,200 rpm, have an 8 MB buffer, make use of 333 GB platters and support WhisperDrive (to reduce noise level production), ShockGuard (shock-proof mechanisms) and SecurePark (parks the recording heads off the disk surface during spin up, spin down and when the drive is off) technologies.
