It is based on the 40-nm manufacturing process, has native support for 64-bit operating systems, support for virtualization, and includes an AES Security Engine, a technology that enables hardware-based data encryption on the fly. The VIA Eden X2 is pin-to-pin compatible with VIA Eden, VIA C7 and VIA Nano E-Series processors.
