Thermaltake Launches Toughpower Grand Platinum Snow

Author: Cássio Lima Date: September 26, 2012 - 9:01 AM PST Category: Power More Info: http://www.thermaltake.com/content.aspx?id=3267 The new Toughpower Grand Platinum Snow is an upgraded version of the Toughpower Grand power supply series that includes a redesigned layout of the main circuitry, an alteration on the primary winding from double forward converter to LLC resonant converter, as well as employing the active clamp ZVS to improve the efficiency rate from 80 Plus Gold to 80 Plus Platinum. In addition, Toughpower Grand Platinum Snow models feature a modular cabling system, a single +12 V rail, a 140 mm fan, 100% Japanese capacitors, and 3 oz. copper PCB to lower the temperature for better efficiency and reliability. Thermaltake has launched two models within the Toughpower Grand Platinum Snow series: 700 W and 600 W.
