Samsung Readies 8 GB MMCplus Card

Real-time pricing for Samsung HMX-U20SNXAA Samsung HMX-U20 Ultra-Compact Full-HD Camcorder Silver Electronics-Expo: $101.08 Samsung has announced a new line of multi-level cell MMCplus cards with capacities of up to 8 GB. The devices are based on 8 Gb NAND flash memory. The company is also touting a series of high-performance MMCplus cards dubbed Mach with 40 MB/s read speed and 25 MB/s write speed. These use single-level cell flash and will be offered in 1 GB and 2 GB versions. Actual availability is unknown, but should happen in the second half.
