Plextor has just announced the M5 Pro series of professional-grade solid state drives, which is offered in 128 GB, 256 GB, and 512 GB capacities. These drives make use of a Marvell 88SS9187 Monet controller and provide speeds of up to 540 MB/s (read) and 450 MB/s (write). M5 Pro drives offer enterprise-grade protection technologies, including a 128-bit error correction system and 256-bit AES encryption.
