NVIDIA launched today their weapon to fight against the new AMD Radeon HD 6990, the dual-GPU video card GeForce GTX 590. It works internally at 607 MHz, has 3 GB of GDDR5 memory running at 3,414 MHz through two 384-bit interfaces, and features 1,024 processors per GPU working at 1,215 MHz, TDP of 365 W, three DVI and a mini DisplayPort video outputs. The GTX 590 requires extra power via two eight-pin PCI Express connectors. This video card reaches the market with a suggested price of USD 699.

You may be excited to read our review of the GeForce GTX 590, but unfortunately we are not going to review this video card because NVIDIA did not send us a sample for review. They asked us to contact their launch partners in North America, ASUS and EVGA. Both said they don't have samples available. It seems that NVIDIA, a company with a market capitalization of over USD 10 billion, doesn't want to spend money sending expensive video cards for reviewing and is passing this cost to their partners, which have a very limited number of samples for the same reason. At least AMD is helping us a lot lately, as you can see reading our review of the new AMD Radeon HD 6990.

Anyway, several manufacturers have launched models based on this new video card from NVIDIA, as you can see in the list below.
