Today, NVIDIA launched their first GPU manufactured in a 28 nm process, the GeForce GTX 680. The chip works internally at 1,006 MHz, but it features a new technology called GPU Boost that overclocks the GPU (up to 1,058 MHz) in real time to increase performance. The GTX 680 has 1,536 processors and accesses its memory at 6 GHz (effective) through a 256-bit interface. The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680 is priced at USD 499. Several manufacturers have already launched models based on this new GPU, as you can see in the list below.
