NVIDIA Launches GeForce GTX 670

Author: Cássio Lima Date: May 10, 2012 - 7:44 AM PST Category: Video More Info: http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gtx-670 Today, NVIDIA launched their third GPU (the GTX 680 and the GTX 690 were the first two) based on its newest Kepler architecture (28 nm process), the GeForce GTX 670. The chip works internally at 915 MHz, but it features a new technology called GPU Boost that overclocks the GPU (up to 980 MHz) in real time to increase performance. The GTX 670 has 1,344 processors and accesses its memory at 6,008 MHz (effective) through a 256-bit interface, resulting in memory bandwidth of 192 GB/s. The GeForce GTX 670 is faster than its main competitor, AMD’s Radeon HD 7950, as you can see in our review of the EVGA GeForce GTX 670 SuperClocked video card. The NVIDIA GeForce GTX 670 is priced at USD 400. The list below shows several manufacturers that have already launched models based on this new GPU.
