Lenovo Announces Tablet for Windows 8

Today, Lenovo unveiled its first tablet specifically designed for Windows 8, the ThinkPad Tablet 2. The product features a 10.1” (1366x768) display, an Intel Atom processor, a 10-hour battery, optional 3G/4G connectivity, fingerprint reader, micro-HDMI output and a pair of 8 megapixels rear and 2 megapixels front cameras. Additionally, it will be sold along with an optional keyboard, as well as a dock with three USB ports, one HDMI port and one Ethernet port. The tablet supports multiple input methods: multi-finger touch and an optional digitizer and pen, especially good for note taking, capturing signatures and completing forms. The ThinkPad Tablet 2 will be available when Windows 8 launches on October 26.
