Faster Acer C7 Chromebook at Walmart for USD 199

Today, Acer America announced that a new model in its Acer C7 Chromebook line, the Acer C710-2856, is now available at 2,800 Walmart stores for the low price of only USD 199. The new Acer C710-2856 Chromebook has a 16 GB Solid State Drive (SSD) that provides fast boot times and quick access to apps and media for speedier all-around performance.

The affordable price and wide range of capabilities makes the new Acer C7 Chromebook the ideal additional laptop for families, students and professionals who need a fast, easy and secure way to get online to do their computing in the cloud, such as using Gmail, keeping up on social networks, shopping, and paying bills. The new model is available at an ideal time, since many consumers are looking for a portable computer for summer travel, or are already planning ahead for back-to-college.

The Acer C710-2856 boots up in just 8 seconds and resumes nearly instantly from sleep mode. Easy to use and navigate, Acer C7 Chromebooks give customers access to their favorite apps with a single click through the app launcher, and allows them to conveniently find new favorites from the thousands of Chrome apps and games featured in the Chrome Web Store.

Families and professionals alike will appreciate that the Acer C7 Chromebook has security features built in to defend against malware and viruses. Plus, the Acer C7 is automatically updated with the Chrome OS, so customers can be assured that they have the latest software version and protection against online threats. It comes with integrated 802.11b/g/n WiFi, so customers can quickly connect to hotspots and wireless networks.

The Acer C7 Chromebook line is great for travel and taking to classes thanks to its slim size, 3.05-pound design, and up to four hours of battery life. The 11.6-inch HD Widescreen CineCrystalTM LED-backlit LCD vibrantly highlights websites, movies, apps, and more. The Acer C710-2856 is powered by an Intel Celeron 847 processor (2MB L3 cache, 1.10GHz, DDR3 1333 MHz) and 2GB of DDR3 memory.
