Corsair has announced new Vengeance Extreme 8 GB dual-channel DDR3 memory kits rated at 3 GHz, the world’s fastest rated production PC memory kits, according to the manufacturer. Fitted with low profile “racing red” heat spreaders, the new 2x4 GB memory kits operate at 3 GHz air-cooled, with latency settings of 12-14-14-36, at 1.65 V. A Kingpin Cooling memory cooler is included for overclockers who want to use LN2 (liquid nitrogen) to reach memory speeds well beyond 3 GHz. The Vengeance Extreme 3 GHz 8 GB memory kits are priced at USD 749.99 and will be available exclusively from Corsair.com in March.
