Author: Cássio LimaDate: January 6, 2011 - 1:44 PM PST
Category: Case
More Info: http://www.corsair.com/pressrelease/corsair-adds-new-mid-tower-case-to...

Corsair has just expanded their Obsidian line-up with the launch of a mid-tower case, the Obsidian 650D. This new case features steel body and aluminum front panel, has four 5.25” external bays, six 3.5” (compatible with 2.5” devices) and eight slots for expansion cards. It is all painted in black (even internally) and it comes with several neat features like holes for routing cables behind the motherboard tray (all protected by rubber covers), a huge hole in the motherboard tray for you to have access to the backplate from the CPU cooler, allowing you to replace it without having to remove the motherboard, two holes for hoses of liquid cooling solutions, and tool-less mechanism for hard drives installation. The Obsidian 650D has four USB 2.0 ports, one USB 3.0 port, and one Firewire port.

As for cooling, the Obsidian 650D is equipped with two 200-mm fans on the front panel, and one 120-mm on the rear panel.

The Corsair Obsidian 650D case is expected to reach on the market in April, 2011, with a suggested price of USD 199.99.

We’ve already reviewed another member of the Corsair’s Obsidian series, the Obsidian 800D full-tower case.
