AMD has officially announced its newest E-Series APUs (codename Brazos 2.0), which was specially designed for low-cost computers, such as netbooks and inexpensive notebooks.

These APUs are based on the “Bobcat” core (40 nm) and comes with an integrated AMD Radeon HD 7000 series GPU (DirectX 11) and a single-channel DDR3 memory controller. The Fusion controller hub (FCH) supports two USB 3.0 ports, eight USB 2.0 ports, three Serial ATA-600 ports, and one PCI Express 2.0 x4 slot.

E-Series APUs also includes AMD Steady Video technology that removes shakes and jitters from online or other video files; AMD Quick Stream technology which prioritizes Internet bandwidth towards video stream buffering or online gaming for a smoother, virtually uninterrupted browsing experience; and provides up to 36 percent longer battery life compared to the competition, enabling up to 11 hours of battery life.
