It is a PCI Express x4 card (which can be installed in PCI Express x16 slots) that comes with flash memory to cache the most frequently accessed data on a 2.5” hard disk drive. The SSD part of the device is managed by four SandForce SF-2200 controllers using a RAID 0 configuration and MLC chips. According to OCZ, this solution can deliver a maximum read transfer rate of 575 MB/s and a maximum write transfer rate of 500 MB/s. It will be available in capacities ranging from 240 GB to 960 GB.
