These processors are capable of enhancing 2D video by using noise-reduction filters, de-interlacing (i.e., converting videos in interlaced scanning to progressive scanning), and scaling (converting the original video resolution to a higher resolution). Usually, hardware-based solutions like the IDT HQV processors present better performance and quality than using software-based solutions.
