AMD Launches the Radeon HD 7700 Series

AMD has expanded their video card offering with the launch of the Radeon HD 7700 series which features two models: Radeon HD 7770 and Radeon HD 7750. These chips are based on the latest graphics architecture from AMD, dubbed “Graphics Core Next” or simply “GCN,” which supports the new PCI Express 3.0 connection and the latest DirectX version (11.1).

The Radeon HD 7770 works internally at 1 GHz, has 1 GB of GDDR5 memory running at 4.5 GHz through a 128-bit interface and 640 processors, while the HD 7750 works internally at 800 MHz, has 1 GB of GDDR5 memory accessed at 4.5 GHz through a 128-bit interface and 512 processors.

The Radeon HD 7770 is priced at USD 159, while the HD 7750 is available for USD 109.
