AMD Launches the Radeon HD 7700 Series

These chips are based on the latest graphics architecture from AMD, dubbed “Graphics Core Next” or simply “GCN,” which supports the new PCI Express 3.0 connection and the latest DirectX version (11.1). The Radeon HD 7770 works internally at 1 GHz, has 1 GB of GDDR5 memory running at 4.5 GHz through a 128-bit interface and 640 processors, while the HD 7750 works internally at 800 MHz, has 1 GB of GDDR5 memory accessed at 4.5 GHz through a 128-bit interface and 512 processors.
