The three groups originally battling over the next-generation 802.11n Wi-Fi standard have apparently reached an agreement to submit an unified proposal to the IEEE. The Joint-Proposal (JP) team formed by WWiSe, TGn Sync and MitMot members is meeting this week to finalize the specifications in accordance with the recently launched Enhanced Wireless Consortium (EWC) led by Intel. The 802.11n standard, set to be ready by the end of the year, is expected to allow data transfer speeds of up to 600 Mbps.
