Sapphire has increased its Atomic Edition line-up with the launch of a limited edition video card called Radeon HD 4870 X2 Atomic Edition targeted to gamers. This factory-overclocked card features 2 GB GDDR5 being accessed at 1,000 MHz (11.11% above default clock of 900 MHz) thru a 256-bit interface, its two GPUs work at 800 MHz (6.66% above default clock of 750 MHz) and comes with an Asetek’s pre-assembled water-cooling system, so no assembly is required by the user. The water pump and the water tank comes attached to the radiator and the system is sealed, coming already with coolant installed – i.e. this is a “maintenance free” system. This baby is priced at USD 799.
