Intel Reveals Nehalem Processors Name

Intel has officially announced the commercial name of their forthcoming 45-nm processors codename Nehalem. These processors will be called Core i7 (or Core i7 Extreme Edition) and should be in production in the fourth quarter of this year. Available in 2.66 GHz, 2.93 GHz and 3.2 GHz clocks, Core i7 processors will have four cores, an integrated triple-channel memory controller, 8 MB of L3 cache, HyperThreading technology support and will be based on LGA 1,366 socket.
