Power

Corsair announced the HX1000W power supply unit (PSU), the world’s first 1000 watt PSU to be certified under the 3-way Nvidia SLI Technology Certification Program, says the manufacturer. The Corsair HX1000W features twin-transformer, true independent dual +12V rail design, 140mm temperature-controlled fan, DC-to-DC conversion and high-quality solid state capacitors.

It is designed for multi-core CPUs and multi-GPU systems and guarantees full 1000W output at 50ºC operating temperature. The new power supply also has Active Power Factor Correction (PFC) and 80% or more energy efficiency. It will be available in late March priced at USD 280.
