Blu-ray, which currently offers capacities of up to 50 GB, is fighting the HD DVD group to replace current DVD video discs. The Blu-ray Disc line will begin full pilot production of single-layer BD-ROM discs by the end of this month and dual-layer BD-ROM discs in December.
