Dual in Line Memory Module
DIMM is a 168-pin memory module that normally has SDRAM memory chips on it (it is important to notice that the very first DIMM modules carried EDO memory chips).
DIMM memory modules are classified accordingly to their supported maximum clock rate: PC66 (up to 66 MHz), PC100 (up to 100 MHz) and PC133 (up to 133 MHz).
