Random Access Memory Digital Analog Converter
RAMDAC is a circuit located on the video board in charge of converting the contents the video contents into analog signals to be sent to the video monitor. Nowadays this circuit is embedded inside the video processor (GPU), which is the main circuit located on the video board.
