A very interesting way to hide valuables is to use a safe that doesn't look like a safe. If a burglar enters your house and you have a safe, it will be the bandit's primary target and we heard stories of people coarsed to open their safes at gun point when bandits entered their houses. If you Google "diversion safes" you will find all sort of "camouflage" safes, from Coca-Cola cans to surge protectors. You can see some examples here. But... Would you use this "safe" made out of a underwear with a skid mark?
