| Radeon X1600 XT Ultimate from Sapphire |
As you may notice from the previous pictures, the silent cooling solution from Sapphire uses two all-aluminum big heatsinks with two aluminum heatpipes connecting them together, with a big fan on the back heatsink. We disassembled this exotic cooler to take a look, see Figure 4. As you can see, no copper is used. On the other hand, the front heatsink touches the memory chips, cooling them down.

In Figure 5, you can see this video card without its cooler.

This video card has four GDDR2 512-Mbit 1.4 ns chips from Samsung (K4J52324QC-BC14), making its 256 MB video memory (512 Mbits x 4 = 256 MB). These chips can run up to 1.4 GHz. Since this video card accesses the memory at 1.38 GHz, there is no room if you wish to overclock its memory inside its specs.
In Figure 6, you can see Radeon X1600 XT chip. As you can see, it is called internally RV530 XT by ATI.
