Phenom II X6 Models

Phenom II X6 is a six-core Phenom CPU manufactured using 45 nm technology, having a 6 MB L3 cache. It uses socket AM3 and supports DDR3 memories but can also be installed on certified AM2+ motherboards with DDR2 memories. Unlike the other Phenom models, Phenom II X6 brings an automatic overclocking technology similar to Intel’s Turbo Boost, called Turbo Core. When the CPU “feels” that three or more cores are idle, it will increase the clock rate from the active cores. In the table below, we have listed all the models released to date.

MC stands for “Memory Controller.” This clock is also known as “North Bridge Clock” or simply “NB Clock.”

TDP stands for Thermal Design Power and indicates the CPU maximum thermal dissipation, i.e., the CPU cooler must be able to dissipate at least this amount of heat.
