A Look Inside The Aerocool E85M-550

We decided to disassemble this power supply to see what it looks like inside, how it is designed, and what components are used. Please read our Anatomy of Switching Power Supplies tutorial to understand how a power supply works and to compare this power supply to others.

This page will be an overview, while in the following pages we will discuss the quality and ratings of the components used in detail. As already explained, the Aerocool E85M-550 uses the same design as the V12XT-600 model from the same manufacturer. In the following pages we will see whether they are the same power supply or not.
