Main Features

Gigabyte G41M-ES2L main features are:

  • Socket: 775.
  • Chipset: Intel G41 Express and ICH7.
  • Super I/O: ITE IT8718F.
  • Parallel IDE: One ATA-100 port (supporting two devices).
  • Serial IDE: Four SATA-300 ports, controlled by the southbridge.
  • USB: Eight USB 2.0 ports (four soldered on the rear panel and four available as internal headers).
  • Firewire (IEEE 1394a): No.
  • On-board audio: Yes, produced by the chipset with the aid of a Realtek ALC888 codec (ten channels, 24-bit resolution, up to 192 KHz sampling rate for outputs and 96 KHz for inputs, 97 dB signal-to-noise ratio on analog outputs and 90 dB on analog inputs). No SPDIF outputs.
  • Onboard video: Yes, GMA X4500 produced by the chipset.
  • On-board LAN: Yes, one Gigabit Ethernet, controlled by the Realtek RTL8111 chip, which is connected to the system using a PCI Express x1 lane.
  • Buzzer: No.
  • Power Supply: ATX12V v2.x (24 pin).
  • Slots: One PCI Express 1.0 x16, one PCI Express x1 and two standard PCI slots.
  • Memory: Two DDR2-DIMM sockets up to 8 GB up to DDR2-800 (officially) or up to DDR2-1066 (thru overclocking).
  • Number of CDs/DVDs that come with this motherboard: one drivers/utilities DVD.
  • Extra features: Japanese aluminum solid capacitors, 3-phase voltage regulator circuit with ferrite chokes, dual BIOS, Easy Energy Saver.
