Opteron 23xx Models (Quad-Core, DDR2)

Opteron 23xx models are third-generation Opteron processors, i.e. they are based on K10 microarchitecture. Their main features, besides what we have already presented on first page, are:

  • K10 Microarchitecture
  • Four processing cores
  • 65 nm manufacturing technology
  • Socket F
  • 512 KB L2 memory cache per core (2 MB total)
  • 2 MB L3 memory cache
  • Support to symmetric multiprocessing up to two CPUs
  • Three HyperTransport busses (one of them are coherent, allowing memory data transfers)
  • “Registered” (buffered) memories only, which are a special kind of memory targeted to servers, up to DDR2-667
  • Support to SSE4 instructions

Below you can find all Opteron 23xx models released to date. "HE" are models with lower power consumption. TDP stands for Thermal Design Power and indicates the CPU maximum thermal dissipation, i.e. the CPU cooler must be able to dissipate at least this amount of heat.
