VGA Cooler

Zalman’s Fatal1ty VGA cooler comes with eight heat spreaders to be installed on your VGA memory chips. The installation of these heat spreaders in quite simple, just peel off the little piece of paper under them and stick them to the memory chips; their thermal compound also works as stickers.

To install the Fatal1ty VGA cooler you need to remove the current cooler your VGA is using. Because of its size, you cannot install this VGA cooler on some video cards (NVIDIA’s GeForce PCX series and all video cards from Matrox). Before buying, it is good to take a look at Zalman’s website for a list of incompatible video cards.

The fan is transparent with a red LED that glows when the system is on. Also, you can adjust the fan speed. This is done manually, choosing which output from the power supply you will use, 5 V (red wire, low speed) or 12 V (yellow wire, high speed). The power supply adapter that comes with this cooler has extra outputs if you want to hook more fans to the same adapter.

The heatsink is all copper-made and its base is really smooth.
