Dynamic Overclocking

As we mentioned, this video card has Dynamic Overclocking Technology (D.O.T.), technology that allows you to overclock your VGA by simply clicking a button on video properties.

In order to work, you must use the video drivers provided by MSI. If you install nVidia video drivers you won’t have access to Dynamic Overclocking.

After installing MSI drivers, go to display properties (click on the desktop with the right mouse button, choosing Properties from the menu that will show up) and select MSI Clock tab. There check “D.O.T. Enable” to enable this technology. Above this check box you can choose the overclocking level: Private, Sergeant, Captain, Colonel, General and Commander.

On this same screen you can configure a regular overclocking, if you’d like to.

We’ve collected two benchmarking scores with this video card. First with nVidia drivers without dynamic overclocking. Then, we repeated all tests again using MSI drivers and enabling dynamic overclocking at Commander level. You will see these results under “DOT” on our graphs.

Before going to our benchmarking results, let’s recap this video card main features.
